It's all about finding the right doctor...

I live in a northwest corner of Connecticut.  The town I live in is a growing city, but not big enough to be really considered a "city".  Farmington and Hartford are where the best doctors are but they are about 45 mins to an hour away from where I live.  In order to find the one for me, I have to sacrifice my time and gas to get to where I want to be.

Needless to say, there are useless OBGYNs everywhere within 15 mile radius (if I get this correctly, I'm not very good in math in any shape or form) from my town.  Many OBGYNs I have gone to all tells me to come back in 6 months if I didn't get pregnant.  It seems like they didn't really care and did not want me to waste their time.  It felt like it was a half hour wait and a 5 minute consult.  I have been searching for two years since my last mishap with my "jackass" OBGYN that really confused me and sent me on my way with so many questions I've had since then.

A good friend of mine told me about this OBGYN that her friend goes to (it's about 15-20 mins away from me).  I went there and met my doctor, Dr. Cushman.  She was a dream come true! She actually really cared about the situation that I'm in and went out of her way to help me.  She answered a lot of the questions I had and proceeded with bloodwork, semen analysis for my husband and suggested a couple of helpful things such as temperature chart and/or ovulation kits.  When I left the office, I knew I had finally found the one.

Don't ever give up if you're in a situation like I was in.  Sure there are plenty of fish in the sea, but you just really gotta look for "the one".  Ask around, do some research, talk with friends about your situation(s) and you will be surprised at the results.  If it wasn't for my friend, I would have never been in the position that I'm in right now.
